Day at Chukchansi casino

The Italian Catholic Federation will sponsor a day at Chukchansi casino on Nov.4. Cost is $31 per person including $10 for gaming, $5 toward lunch, refreshments and a raffle on the bus, which will leave from 23rd and M streets at 9a.m. and leave to return at 3:30p.m. Please bring your driver’s license or photo ID. The Merced Breakfast Lions Club maintains a series of drop-off locations for used and unused prescription eyeglasses or hearing aids. Drop off at the offices of Drs. VFW retires damaged flags

The Atwater VFW will properly dispose of any flags that are torn, soiled or tattered. Drop off flags at the post, 1390 Broadway. The VFW also holds a hamburger night every Wednesday from 5 to 7p.m., and provides wheelchairs and walkers at no charge to veterans in need. For details, call (209)358-7224.

Flu immunization clinics

Annual holiday boutique

Ladies of the Lakes is holding its annual Holiday Boutique from 9a.m. to 3p.m. on Nov.9 at the Yosemite Lakes Park Clubhouse, 30250 Yosemite Springs Pkwy. Free admission, parking, and shuttle. There will be a high school scholarship raffle, and food and beverages available for purchase.

“Sweep Swap” event

Thge office of Dr. Von Goodin DSS will hold its annual “Sweep Swap” event from 2 to 6p.m. on Nov.8 at 830 W. Olive Ave. Donated candy will be sent overseas for the troops. There will be snacks, crafts, stickers, and other surprises for children, and everyone bringing a bag of candy will be entered in a drawing to win a Family Night Out package.
