Veterans Day program

Wellness seminar at church

There will be a weekend wellness seminar at 10:45 a.m. and 6 p.m. Nov. 9, and 11:30 a.m. Nov. 10, at Fellowship Hall of the Merced Seventh-day Adventist Church, 2222 E. Veterans Day Parade

St. Alban’s high tea

St. Alban’s will hold a holiday tea from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 16 at 401 W. L St., Los Banos. A full British high tea for the whole family will be offered. There will be gift baskets, a silent auction and holiday shopping. A $10 donation per person is suggested. Call (209) 509-9684.

Fall symphony concert

The Merced Symphony Fall Concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Merced Theatre, 301 W. Main St. It will feature a former youth audition winner, Tara Kamangar, who has garnered worldwide acclaim for her skill as a pianist. She will perform Grieg’s Piano Concerto with the orchestra. Ladies VFW breakfast

The Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars of Atwater will have its monthly breakfast from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., on Nov. 2, at 1390 Broadway in Atwater. Join them for waffles with strawberries and cream; biscuits with sausage and gravy; eggs with bacon or sausage, hash browns and biscuit; or omelettes with hash browns. Juice and coffee are served with all meals. A $4 to $6 donation per person is requested. Proceeds help them serve veterans programs.

Dia de los Muertos

Businesses honor the dead for Dia de los Muertos from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday on Main Street in Murphys. Participating businesses will offer authentic food, sugar skulls, face painting, live music and art including altars celebrating the lives of those who have died. Email or call (209) 728-8471.
