New Year’s Eve party

Come and celebrate with the Twi’ Lighters on New Year’s Eve from 6 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., at the American Legion Hall, 939 W. Dance in the New Year

Club Mercedes will have a New Year’s Eve Dance from 6:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Dec. 31 at 569 W. Ninth St. in Merced. Music will be provided by the Fresno band Force ’Em. Bricks and seats

The Historic Merced Theatre will celebrate the one-year anniversary of the Art Kamangar Center with a special on Pick-A-Brick and Take-A-Seat through Dec. 1. Engraved bricks will be installed in the sidewalk on Martin Luther King Way next to the theater and auditorium seats will have an individualized brass nameplate on the seat arm.
