BloodSource seeks donors
BloodSource is getting ready for its Season of Giving at 382 E. Yosemite Ave. in Merced through Dec. 15. They will be accepting nonperishable food donations and will mirror their donors’ generosity with a Pay it Forward donation to the Merced County Food Bank.
Christmas celebration at church
Calvary Temple Worship Center will hold its Christmas celebration at 10 a.m. Dec. 22 at 2740 N. Highway 59 in Merced. Admission is free.

La Grange Odd Fellows breakfast
The La Grange Odd Fellows will hold their breakfast at the IOOF Hall in downtown La Grange from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday. The new and improved menu includes biscuits and gravy, sausage, potatoes, French toast and eggs, with a wide choice of omelet ingredients. Complimentary coffee and orange juice round out the meal, all for $6. In the Christmas spirit, the La Grange Rebekahs will have their rummage sale tables loaded with seasonal decorations and big and little stocking stuffers. Breakfast with Santa
Does Santa stir his tea with a candy cane? Come see for yourself at the annual “Breakfast With Santa” Saturday at Sweet River Grill at the Merced Mall. Breakfast is hosted and served from 8 to 9:30 a.m. by members of the Merced police and fire departments and California Highway Patrol. Tickets are $6 and on sale at Merced Mall Customer Service. Seating is limited. Entertainment will be provided by Merced’s Classic Christmas Carolers. All proceeds from this event benefit the local Fire & Kops for Kids Christmas Toys program. Central Presbyterian Church’s 13th Annual Craft Fair is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hoffmeister Center, 1920 Canal St. in Merced. Admission and parking are free. More than 30 vendors, handmade gift items, huge raffle. Lunch available, with free hot cider.
