Shanghai Circus at Merced Theatre
Back by popular demand, the New Shanghai Circus returns tonight to the Art Kamangar Center at the Merced Theatre. The show is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $29 general, $22 for students and $10 for children. The Merced Theatre is at 301 W. Main St.
Dance Kaleidoscope returns
Dancers from some of the area’s best-known dance studios will perform at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Feb. 22 in the Merced College Theater. Dance Kaleidoscope returns for another year of entertainment, featuring young dancers from Denisa’s School of Dance, Mariposa Academy of Performing Arts, Merced Academy of Dance, STEPS Dance Studio, Dancer’s Studio, Merced Belly Dance Company and South Pacific Dance Company. Tickets are $10 general, $8 for ASMC student body cardholders, children under 12, and seniors. African Children’s Choir to perform

Ladysmith Black Mambazo to perform at Merced Theatre
South Africa’s Ladysmith Black Mambazo is scheduled to perform at the Merced Theatre from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. on March 6. The group is one of the most famous a cappella vocal groups of all time, and has been thrilling audiences for more than 50 years with its strong proud melodies and graceful Zulu dance moves. The group has since received a stunning 14 Grammy Award nominations and three Grammy awards, according to their biography. Tickets are $15-$35. The Merced Theatre is at 301 W. Main St.
Open Mic Night at The Partisan

The Merced Symphony’s winter concert “Villains and Heroes,” is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Jan. 24 at the Merced Theatre. “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” at Playhouse Merced
The sketch comedy “I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change” opened Jan. 10 at Playhouse Merced and runs through Jan. 26. Tickets are on sale for Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 and Sunday matinees at 2 p.m. General admission tickets are $22, $20 for seniors, $12 for students and $10 for children. Lavender Nights at La Cascada
Lavender Nights at La Cascada is scheduled Thursday from 8 p.m. until 1 a.m. The event will feature best drag queens and kings the Valley has to offer, in addition to DJs, drink specials and performances by Jayy Lee and Moon Trent, according to the event’s Facebook page.
