The whole Peanuts gang took the stage at Buhach Colony High School this week, as ABC Productions kicked off its musical, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”
ABC Productions is composed of theater students from Atwater and Buhach Colony high schools, and the play is closing their 2013-14 season.
The show began Thursday, and the remaining performances are scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday at the Buhach Colony High School Theater, 1800 Buhach Road in Atwater, according to a news release.
Characters in the play are taken from the late Charles Schulz’s widely beloved comic strip, and the musical is from the 1999 Broadway revival version. Audiences will see all of the familiar faces from the popular comic strip, including Lucy, Schroeder, Linus, Sally and, of course, Snoopy.

The play features more than 20 students as actors, dancers and technicians, according to Buhach Colony theater arts teacher C. Alan Bettis. He said the theater departments at Atwater and Buhach Colony strive to offer students a variety of opportunities in all aspects and genres in their pursuit of theater. The musical also gives students the chance to work through musical comedy of the sketch comedy format.
The musical stars Chris Espinoza, with Alison Deckers, Josh Banuelos, Gunner Joachim, Mariana Jauregui and Luis Medina. The cast also includes an ensemble of singers and dancers.
Tickets for “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown” are $10 each for the general public. Group rates are also available.
All performances are general admission seating, with doors opening 30 minutes before curtain.
