Fire gutted a Delhi home Thursday, displacing a family of three, firefighters said.

No injuries were reported.

Flames broke out just before 3:30 p.m. at the double-wide modular home in the 11200 block of Vincent Avenue, said Jeremy Rahn, Cal Fire/Merced County Fire Department battalion chief. Firefighters remained on scene until after 5:30 p.m. mopping up.

The cause of the blaze was not immediately clear, and the investigation is ongoing, firefighters said.

More than a dozen firefighters battled the blaze for about an hour, using three fire engines and two water tenders before it was contained, Rahn said.

An early damage estimate was placed at $60,000. Firefighters believe the structure is a total loss.

The fire displaced two adults and a child; their names were not released. Rahn said the family is staying with friends and relatives.
