Two men were shot Friday evening in Los Banos, police said.
The victims, 18 and 29, were taken to area hospitals. Updates on their conditions were not immediately available.
The 18-year-old man appeared to have been shot at least once in the upper body. He was rushed to a regional hospital and was reportedly in surgery Friday evening, police said. Officers described the injuries suffered by the 29-year-old man as “non-life-threatening.”
Few details about the shooting were available Friday, as the investigation was just getting underway.

Los Banos police said multiple suspects were arrested in connection with the shooting. The names of those arrested were not immediately available. Police said criminal charges “are pending.”
Los Banos police responded at 5:23 p.m. Friday to the 100 block of North Santa Rita Street and found both victims shot., police said in a brief news release.
The suspects were spotted by Officer Mane Leao as they fled the area immediately after the shooting. Officers initiated a “high-risk stop” and the suspects were taken into custody without incident.
“Our detectives are working hard to piece together the details of this shooting. We’re confident we have all of those involved in custody, and we do not believe there is any continued danger to the public,” Police Chief Gary Brizzee said in the statement.
