A driver was killed and two passengers suffered major injuries Tuesday evening in a solo vehicle crash on Center Avenue north of Ione Street, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The name of the driver has not been released. The passengers were identified as Andrew Wagner, 24, and Mark Solis, 26, both from Dos Palos.
In a news release, the CHP cited “alcohol intoxication” as a suspected factor in the crash, reported at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday.
The occupants were traveling north in a 2000 Honda Civic at a high rate of speed on Center Avenue. The driver lost control of the vehicle, which overturned on the west shoulder of Center Avenue.

None of the occupants were wearing seat belts and were ejected from the car as it overturned, according to the CHP.
The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and the passengers were flown to hospitals in Modesto.
The crash remains under investigation.
