Four people suspected of taking a 9-year-old boy with them when they shot two Los Banos men will appear in court again today.
The defendants are set to appear before Judge Harry L. Jacobs in Merced Superior Court in Los Banos for bail reviews and to confirm defense attorneys to the case, according to court records.
Two men, ages 18 and 29, were shot at 5:23 p.m. Aug. 22 in the 100 block of North Santa Rita Street. At least one man stepped out of a pickup truck and opened fire, the Los Banos Police Department reported.
Both victims are expected to recover, police said.

Shondi Carrilo, 37, the suspected driver of the getaway car, had her 9-year-old son seated inside the vehicle when she drove the shooter or shooters to and from the scene of the crime, police said. The Merced County District Attorney’s Office charged her with child abuse and being an accessory to a crime after the fact, court records show.
She remained behind bars Thursday without bail, according to booking records.
The other defendants – Adrian Aldama, 22, Ramiro Hidalgo Flores, 28, and Xavier Flores, 26 – have each been charged with two counts of attempted murder, child abuse, making criminal threats and street-gang participation, court records show.
All four were arrested by the Los Banos Police Department a short time after the shooting.
Carrilo and Ramiro Hidalgo Flores remained in custody without bail. Bail for Aldama and Xavier Flores was set at $500,000, according to booking records.
