Locally based banks serving the Sacramento region reported strong results in their third-quarter financial statements.
That included Sacramento’s River City Bank, which reported net income of $4.1 million, or $2.86 per share, for the quarter that ended Sept. 30, up 78.2 percent from $2.3 million, or $1.62 a share, in last year’s third quarter.
RCB’s net income through nine months this year totaled $10.2 million, or $7.07 a share, an increase of 18.6 percent from $8.6 million, or $5.99 a share, through the first three quarters of 2015.
Rancho Cordova-based American River Bankshares, parent of American River Bank, amassed net income of $1.8 million, or 27 cents per share, in the third quarter, up 20 percent from earnings of $1.5 million, or 20 cents a share, in the year-ago period.

Through nine months this year, ARB profits totaled $4.5 million, or 66 cents a share, up nearly 18.5 percent from $3.8 million, or 50 cents a share, in 2015.
