Woodland-based Nugget Market Inc. plans to open a new store in the Hewlett-Packard Campus Oaks development in Roseville in 2019.

The Northern California grocer said Friday that Nugget and Armstrong Development are under contract to purchase 30 acres on the southeast corner of Blue Oaks Boulevard and Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to expand our services into the west Roseville community,” Eric Stille, president and CEO of Nugget said in a statement. “We believe the expansion into the Campus Oaks development will be a perfect fit for both the community and our company.”

Campus Oaks development plans call for boutique retail shops, restaurants, a health club and other services. Nugget has an existing Roseville location at 771 Pleasant Grove Boulevard.

Kate Stille, Nugget’s vice president of marketing and communications, said in an email that “we hope to open in spring of 2019.”

The supermarket chain, family owned and operated since 1926, oversees 12 Nugget Markets in Northern California, Fork Lift by Nugget Markets in Cameron Park and Food 4 Less Woodland, plus its most recent additions, Sonoma Market and Glen Ellen Village Market in the Sonoma Valley.

In March, Nugget again made Fortune magazine's list of the nation’s “100 Best Companies to Work For.” It marked the 12th consecutive year that Nugget made Fortune’s top 100.
