New York-based Crunch, a membership gym chain that includes franchised operations, said Thursday it plans to open a new fitness center in Granite Bay this summer.
The nearly 19,000-square-foot center at 4130 Douglas Blvd. will include cardio and strength-training equipment, as well as a group fitness studio for classes. Other amenities include tanning, hydro massage, personal trainer services and babysitting options.
It is expected to open in August. An enrollment office and temporary workout center is now open at the site.
Crunch, with more than 100 gyms worldwide, also has fitness centers at 1250 Howe Ave. in Sacramento, 9661 E. Stockton Blvd. in Elk Grove, 6124 San Juan Ave. in Citrus Heights and 6680 Lonetree Blvd. in Rocklin.
