The Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, or GO-Biz for short, is hosting a free workshop on Monday to help businesses apply for the California Competes Tax Credit. The workshop will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at Sacramento City Hall, 915 I St.

The California Competes Tax Credit is available to businesses that want to move to California or those that plan to stay and grow in the state.

Owners of businesses of all sizes are encouraged to attend the workshop to learn how to apply for the program, which provides up to $151 million in tax credits during this fiscal year for businesses that want to expand or relocate here.

Workshop co-hosts include the city of Sacramento and varied chambers of commerce. For more details or to register, go to business.ca.gov.
