Jacksonville, Fla.-based Firehouse Subs, a fast-casual restaurant chain featuring hot submarine sandwiches, opened a new eatery Friday in Folsom.
The restaurant, at 1001 E. Bidwell St., is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Firehouse Subs was founded by former firefighting brothers Chris and Robin Sorensen. The new local restaurant features artwork and memorabilia from the Folsom Fire Department.
It’s the chain’s second local eatery. It opened a restaurant earlier this year at 3830 Truxel Road in Sacramento.
