Walmart cuts ribbon on new Roseville store Wednesday

Ribbon-cutting ceremonies to open a new Walmart store in Roseville are set for 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.

The store, at 1400 Lead Hill Blvd., will employ about 300 part-time and full-time workers. It will be open daily from 6 a.m. to midnight.

Besides a wide range of general merchandise, the new Roseville Walmart has a pharmacy and a full line of groceries.

Grand-opening festivities will include presentations of $8,000 in Walmart grants to local community groups, including the Roseville Police Department, The Gathering Inn, Roseville High School, Safe Kids of Placer County, the Golden Empire Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the Placer County Food Bank.
