Business owners and entrepreneurs who want to start a business and learn how to comply with California’s tax laws are invited to attend a free small-business tax seminar next Thursday in Roseville.
The seminar is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Drive, just south of the intersection of Douglas Boulevard and Rocky Ridge Drive. Check-in starts at 8:30 a.m.
Event sponsors include California State Board of Equalization member George Runner, the Roseville Chamber of Commerce and the city of Roseville.
Seminar topics include avoiding sales/use tax problems, forms of ownership, record keeping, loan programs, employee issues and use of independent contractors. Various expert speakers will be on-site.
