CREAM to open ice cream outlets in Sacramento County

Millbrae-based CREAM, an ice cream sandwich and desserts chain, plans to open three franchised restaurants in Sacramento County, with an Elk Grove shop slated to open in the next few weeks.

The Elk Grove restaurant will be at 8469 Elk Grove Blvd.

The ice cream sandwich purveyor, started in 2010, currently has eight sites in California, including one at 110 F St. in Davis.

CREAM is an acronym for Cookies Rule Everything Around Me.

The restaurant’s menu includes 20 ice cream flavors, 20 cookie flavors and more than 20 toppings that customers can mix and match. Ice cream sandwiches are the focus, but CREAM also offers milkshakes, floats, ice cream and baked goods. For details, see www.creamnation.com.
