The Sacramento Municipal Utility District has posted the names of customers and vendors who have not yet cashed checks dated between Oct. 1, 2011, and Sept. 30, 2012.
The list can be seen on the homepage of smud.org. It will remain online through Dec. 23.
SMUD annually posts information to get money into the hands of the rightful payees.
Claims against uncashed checks should be filed on or before Dec. 23 with SMUD Unclaimed Monies, 6201 S St., Mail Stop B302, Sacramento, CA 95817-1818, or by calling 916-732-7440.

Replacement checks will be issued only to the payee whose name is on the list. The utility said checks not claimed by Dec. 23 become SMUD property under California code.
