The average retail price of gasoline in the Sacramento area fell 4.5 cents in a week’s time to $2.51 a gallon, according to Monday’s weekly report by national gas price tracker GasBuddy.com.
That’s 21.2 cents lower than last month and nearly 75 cents below the year-ago average.
Nationally, the average price dipped slightly, less than a penny, to $2.12 a gallon, down 12.1 cents from last month and about 48 cents below the price at this time last year.
