Steadily falling gasoline prices have dipped below the $2.50-a-gallon threshold in the Sacramento area.
The average retail price of gas in the area fell another 2.4 cents over the past week to $2.48 a gallon, national gas price tracker GasBuddy.com said Monday.
That’s 20.3 cents lower than last month and 74 cents below the year-ago level.
Nationally, the average price held steady at $2.12 a gallon over the past week.
