Lackluster numbers of job vacancies advertised online in Sacramento and throughout California in August continued a generally flat trend, according to The Conference Board, a New York-based business research group.
In its monthly report released Wednesday, the board said 28,500 ads were posted in Sacramento in August, down 0.7 percent from 28,700 in July and a decline of 6 percent from 30,200 in August 2015.
Statewide, 564,600 ads were posted in August, up about 1 percent from 559,100 in July but down about 9.4 percent from 623,100 in August last year.
