Something finally slowed the pace of upscale home sales in the Lake Tahoe region in this year’s first quarter: snow.
Chase International said year-over-year home sales volume dropped 7 percent, with a 13 percent decrease in sales of homes priced less than $1 million.
“In the long run though, our winter with abundant snow will be a big positive for the region,” said Susan Lowe, corporate vice president for Chase.
The median home sales price throughout the Lake Tahoe region remained steady at $529,000, up 2 percent from the year-ago period.
