‘Hamilton’ stars selling this bright, inviting California farmhouse-style home: $2.9M

Tony Award-winning actor Daveed Diggs and Emmy Raver-Lampman, who met and performed together in the Broadway musical “Hamilton,” are selling their Sherman Oaks, California, home for $2.895 million, according to The Agency real estate firm.

Diggs played the role of Marquis de Lafayette and Thomas Jefferson and Raver-Lampman appeared as a member of the original ensemble cast.

“Featured in Architectural Digest in 2021, this stunning reimagined farmhouse on a corner lot encapsulates the California indoor and outdoor lifestyle,” according to the official property listing.

The five-bedroom, six-bathroom home spans 3,500 square feet and has a swimming pool with a new deck. The property stands behind privacy hedges.

Inside, a light-infused entryway with vaulted ceilings and wire-brushed, wide-plank flooring greets visitors.

The chef’s kitchen features an oversized island and bar seating, a Viking six-burner stove, custom cabinetry and tile work, a walk-in pantry and two sinks.

The couple bought the home in 2018, Raver-Lampman told Mansion Global, and then decided to do a little renovation. The marble backsplash in the kitchen was replaced with black-and-white patterned tiles, the upper cabinets were removed and the others repainted a dark green. Also, a glass-enclosed wine storage space under the staircase was changed into a spot for their record collection, she told the Mansion Global. Outside, the deck was added to the pool.

“The living room opens to a covered patio with a fireplace and extends out to the resort-like private backyard including a sapphire pool with a Baja shelf, spa and waterfall feature, built-in lounge area, and bar with a custom fire feature, BBQ and refrigerator,” according to the listing. “Fantastic layout with one bedroom downstairs and four bedrooms upstairs, all with walk-in closets, custom cabinetry, and en suite bathrooms.”

A luxurious primary suite unfolds under vaulted ceilings, with built-in cabinetry, views of the mountains off a private balcony, and an en suite bathroom that includes double vanities, a freestanding tub and large shower.

The gated home is technologically smart, utilizing a Seamless Control 4 Home automation system. All locks, security, alarms, cameras, surround sound and outdoor lighting is controlled and allows for “easy lock up and go,” the listing says.

Located at 5159 Varna Avenue, the property is close to Ventura Boulevard.

Michael Grady of The Agency holds the listing.
