Rocklin-based Purple Communications, Inc., a provider of video relay and other communication services and products for people who are deaf or hard of hearing, says it has formed a partnership with LIFX, which bills itself as the maker of the world’s brightest color, Wi-Fi-enabled smart light bulbs.
The partnership with Redwood City-based LIFX includes delivery of a new product called “POP,” which visually notifies users of incoming calls.
The POP smart bulb is perpetually linked to Purple’s platform, which Purple said ensures quick, 24-hours-a-day notification for users.
Purple’s Mark Bella, vice-president of sales, said “early response from our customers has proven that they’re particularly excited for POP. They especially like how they'll be able to configure the five different flashing colors so different people in a household can get visual alerts of calls specifically for them.”
