Nashville, Tenn.-based Takl Inc. has launched an app-based mobile platform that connects home services/chore providers with consumers in the greater Sacramento area.

The app covers a wide range of small jobs, from basic housekeeping to appliance repairs to gardening chores.

Takl says it has signed up more than 2,200 local home service providers taking in Sacramento and more than 40 cities in the region, including the city of Stockton.

Takl says its app is the only on-demand, pre-priced mobile platform for both business and home use for small jobs of $400 or less. Users also can post a custom chore or job with a price that providers can either accept or bid on in a real-time auction format.

Takl says its service providers typically can arrive within about an hour of initial contact. Future service appointments also can be arranged via the app.

Founded in 2015, Takl now operates in 10 states and is rolling out in others. It plans to expand services into Southern California in the coming weeks.

Takl Chairman and CEO Willis Johnson has previous business experience in the region. In 1982, he started Copart Inc. in Northern California. Now headquartered in Dallas, Copart bills itself as an international leader in online vehicle auctions.
