Reservoir Fire in Lake County reported 35 percent contained

A wildfire that began late Sunday afternoon in Lake County has burned 215 acres and was reported 35 percent contained as of 6 p.m. Monday.

The Reservoir fire began shortly before 5:30 p.m. Sunday. It is burning in oak and grass woodland and heavy brush on the northwest side of Indian Valley Reservoir, according to a California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection news release. No structures have been damaged and none are threatened, and CalFire reported no evacuations or road closures due to the fire.

More than 350 personnel are assigned to the fire, including 25 engine or truck companies, 14 fire crews, four water tenders, two helicopters, eight bulldozers and two air tankers.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
