2) Sherri Papini’s sister says family thrilled by her return; questions remain about abduction

The 34-year-old Redding-area woman was found around 4:30 a.m. Thursday after she flagged down a driver on Interstate 5 in Yolo County. Investigators say Papini was bound with restraints when she was let out of a sport-utility vehicle near a freeway interchange in the town of Yolo. They say she was able to flag down a motorist on the freeway near County Road 17.

Larry Saltzman, 63, has covered the entire 26 miles, 385 yards twice before, back when he ran simply for fun and good health. This year, he’s attempting only half the course and plans to walk part of it. It’s less than Saltzman hoped, but the best he can do, given what he’s up against.
