A Friday morning vehicle crash on westbound Interstate 80 that left a pickup truck flipped upside down is being investigated as a possible hit-and-run collision, according Chad Hertzell, a spokesman for the California Highway Patrol.
Dispatchers were alerted of a three-car collision on westbound Interstate 80 near Watt Avenue at around 8:36 a.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they located a pickup truck that was on its roof and another vehicle that had stopped to the side of the freeway, he said.
A third car was not located at the scene when officers arrived, Hertzell said.
Medics and a tow truck were en route to the site of the crash Friday morning, with initial reports of minor injuries to the passengers, he said.
