Job fair for veterans scheduled

A job and resource fair geared to U.S. military veterans is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at McClellan Conference Center, 5411 Luce Ave., North Highlands. The “Honor a Hero, Hire a Vet” is sponsored by the California Employment Development Department. It’s free and open to the public. The gathering will focus on assisting military personnel returning from service and looking for employment. Coffee with Roseville vice mayor

Roseville Vice Mayor Bonnie Gore hosts a coffee with community members from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 2351 Pleasant Grove Blvd., Roseville. Residents can discuss city-related topics at the free event.

Gardening questions to be answered

University of California Cooperative Extension Master Gardeners will answer gardening questions from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services, 3333 Third Ave., Sacramento. Health fair in Woodland

The Yolo County Health and Human Services Agency invites the community to attend a Health and Wellness Fair from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Empower Yolo, 175 N. Walnut St., Woodland. Sheriff’s Office hosts town hall meeting

The Yolo County Sheriff’s Office will provide an overview of dispatch calls and crime statistics during a town hall meeting beginning at 6 p.m. at the Esparto Community Hall, 17020 Yolo Ave., Esparto. Area residents are invited to ask questions and learn safety tips.
