Services for veterans

Veterans and their families will be offered free medical, dental, hearing, vision and legal help at the annual Placer Veterans Stand Down event at All American Speedway, 800 All America City Blvd., Roseville. Overnight accommodations, showers, haircuts, pet services, meals, housing referrals, clothing and personal hygiene supplies and other services will also be offered. Contract basics for artists

California Lawyers for the Arts presents a workshop on contract basics for creative artists. It is designed to show how to craft successful contracts and avoid common pitfalls. The presenter is Grace Bergen, a musician and business attorney. The workshop runs from 6:15 to 8 p.m. at 425 University Ave., Suite 120. Tickets are $20 with discounts available for students, seniors and CLA members.
