Sacramento Pride festival and parade

Sacramento Pride is an LGBT celebration that promotes acceptance and pride with a parade followed by an outdoor party on Capitol Mall. High-energy live music, a dance pavilion, an activity-rich kids zone, local vendors and food trucks are among the attractions from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. There are also booths providing services, support and information throughout the event. Admission to the festival is $10 for adults and free for children 10 and under. The parade is free to all. It starts at 11 a.m. and travels down N Street from Third Street to 10th Street. Sacramento Taco Festival

The fourth annual Sacramento Taco Festival is scheduled from 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. on Del Paso Boulevard, between El Camino Avenue and Arden Way in old North Sacramento. In addition to all sorts of tacos, the festival features continuous entertainment, eating contests, professional wrestling and a Chihuahua beauty contest. Citrus Heights 20th anniversary block party

Citrus Heights celebrates 20 years of being a city with a free block party from 3 to 8 p.m. at Van Maren Park, 6601 Thalia Way. Pablo Cruise performs on the main stage, with lots of local talent featured on the community stage. There will be food, a beer garden, a car show, a kids zone and dozens of nonprofits serving the community. For more information, go to the event’s website.

Elk Grove concert in the park

The city of Elk Grove’s Parks and Recreation Department hosts a free concert in Elk Grove Regional Park, 9950 Elk Grove Florin Road, from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. Solsa will be performing a variety of dance music on the Strauss Island stage, including popular Latin, contemporary, old school, rock and top 40 hits.
