The Sacramento Fire Department continues its Saturday Open House series with an event from 2 to 4 p.m. at Station 5, 731 Broadway.

Great Make Day in Rancho Cordova

Taste of Yolo debuts

The first Taste of Yolo Food and Wine Festival, a celebration of agriculture and culinary products in Yolo County, takes place from 3 to 8 p.m. at Central Park, 401 C St., Davis. Dozens of exhibitors from throughout the county will sell and offer tastes of their products, featuring restaurants, wine, craft beer, nuts, olive oil, honey, jams, meats and other wares from Yolo County farms. Pops at East Sac park

The John Skinner Band is scheduled to perform at East Sac Pops in the Park, which begins at 6 p.m. at Bertha Henschel Park, 160 45th St., Sacramento. The Pops in the Park series is an opportunity to raise money for neighborhood parks and youth athletic scholarships via sponsorships and proceeds from the sale of food and beverages.
