More than 3,700 Sacramento-area customers were without power during a portion of Saturday afternoon, the Sacramento Municipal Utility District reports.
As of 4:40 p.m., power had been restored for about 1,500 people, said Michelle Monier, SMUD spokeswoman. “We have a couple crews there, but we don’t know what caused the outage.”
By 5:05 p.m., all but 23 customers had power restored.
The outage began at 3:48 p.m and affected the Carmichael, Land Park and East Sacramento neighborhoods, according to the online SMUD outage map.
