A seven-car crash on westbound Interstate 80 blocked all lanes of traffic early Saturday in Vacaville, stopping traffic for more than an hour, CHP Officer Dawn Dwyer said.
The collision happened about 8:14 a.m. near North Meridian Road, when three cars stopped after seeing a garbage bin in the roadway. A fourth car traveling behind them did not stop, causing a “chain-reaction collision,” she said.
Two people were sent to the hospital with minor injuries, Dwyer said.
The far left lane of traffic was reopened to drivers at 9:20 a.m., with a second lane reopened at 9:48 a.m., she said.
