More than 150 Tahoe Park residents lost power for most of Tuesday morning after a driver hit two utility poles late Monday night, police and Sacramento Municipal Utility District officials said.
By 9:10 a.m., the outage was fixed, SMUD said.
Police responded to the crash at 65th Street and 9th Avenue at about 11:30 p.m. Monday, said Sergeant Bryce Heinlein, a Sacramento Police Department spokesman. Officers remained until about 4 a.m. while SMUD began its repair work.
As of about 6:45 a.m., 154 people were affected by the outage, SMUD’s website stated.

SMUD crews worked for hours to replace the two damaged poles, closing off part of a road lane in the area of the crash the crash, said Sarah Sciandri, SMUD spokeswoman.
Heinlein said the driver was brought to a local hospital for a complaint of pain.
