Nicole and Jake Engasser's home surveillance camera caught this man stealing their trailer and quad in the middle of the afternoon Sept. 25.

On Sept. 25 around 2:30 p.m., a thief drove up to Nicole and Jake Engasser’s Oroville, Calif. home and stole a trailer and quad out of their driveway, according to Nicole Engasser.

The trailer and the Polaris Ranger XP quad were stolen using a truck that had been stolen from Sierra Pools in Chico a few days earlier. The truck was then found dumped in Gridley on Sept. 26, but there has been no sign of the trailer and the quad, Engasser wrote on her Facebook page.

The driver had driven by the Engassers’ home multiple times before stopping to take the trailer and Ranger. Jake Engasser’s sister, Heather Engasser-Nelson, posted on Facebook on Sept. 27 offering a $500 reward to anyone who helps them recover the quad and trailer.

California Highway Patrol officers in Oroville are currently investigating the incident. Anyone with information on the theft should contact Engasser, her sister-in-law Heather Engasser-Nelson or her husband Jake Engasser on Facebook.
