Fire officials are investigating the partial collapse of a concrete wall that damaged a vacant mobile home near the Orangevale-Folsom boundary Friday afternoon.

The Sacramento Metropolitan and Folsom fire departments responded about 2:30 p.m. to the 9500 block of Greenback Lane, near the intersection of Greenback Lane and Madison Avenue. The concrete wall separated the American River Shopping Center in Folsom from an Orangevale mobile home park.

The section of the wall was located behind the Ace Hardware store in the commercial center, said Diana Schmidt, an investigator with the Sacramento Metropolitan Fire District. The wall collapsed into the mobile home park, damaging a vacant mobile home, she said. Nearby mobile homes were temporarily evacuated as a precaution.

Schmidt said it has not been determined what caused the wall to collapse.
