A 40-year-old Mather resident is in Yuba County jail accused of raping a 19-year-old woman during a weekend party.
Brian Joseph McNaught was taken into custody Sunday. Yuba County sheriff's investigators were called to Rideout Memorial Hospital about 4 a.m. after the woman sought treatment for a rape that had occurred overnight during a large underage drinking party at Gray's Beach near the Feather River in the Oilvehurst area, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.
McNaught was arrested on suspicion of rape by force, oral copulation and penetration with a foreign object. He is being held in lieu of $1 million bail, according to inmate information available online.
