The ramp connecting I-5 to eastbound I-80 has reopened Monday morning after a big rig overturned on the ramp, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The truck was going too fast on the ramp and tipped on its side, said Officer Amy Walker, a spokeswoman for CHP. The driver and passenger complained of pain but were not transported to the hospital.
The truck was carrying 14,000 pounds of ice, Walker said.
The incident occurred shortly before 6 a.m. and a tow truck was on the scene by 7 a.m to clear the big rig off the ramp.
The ramp opened a little after 8 a.m.
