Kudos to: Emma Bradford and Lucas Dudley, Christian Brothers High School seniors

Accomplishment: Won national award for their music video

Details: Bradford and Dudley picked up the award for best music video from the All American High School Film Festival for their production of “Paper Plates.” Bradford is the producer, actress, director and set director. Dudley is director, videographer, editor and person responsible for sound.

Kudos to: Dutch Bros. Coffee Sacramento

Accomplishment: Raised $1,169 for the Foothill Canine Association of Citrus Heights

Details: Dutch Bros. donated proceeds it collected from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 10 at its Citrus Heights location. Dutch Bros. Sacramento, which includes three locations, is owned by Steve and Nikol Grubbs. The couple have donated $25,000 to local causes since opening their first store in July 2012.

Kudos to: Alice and Bill Amantea, school volunteers

Accomplishment: Active with San Juan Unified School District for more than 50 years

Details: Twice a week, the couple volunteers at Ottomon Elementary, according to the district newsletter. Alice helps produce and organize classroom materials. Bill, a retired graphic designer, helps bring art education to San Juan’s elementary schools.
