A 15-year-old girl reported missing last week from her Shingle Springs home has been found safe.
El Dorado County sheriff’s deputies responded Monday afternoon to a 911 call reporting a possible sighting of Juliet Riffey in the Cameron Park area. Deputies found the girl, and detectives have ruled out any criminal involvement in the case, classifying it as a voluntary runaway situation, according to a Sheriff’s Office news release.
Riffey reportedly ran away from the home during the night of Nov. 1. Sheriff’s officials said there was concern for her safety because she is home schooled and had limited contacts with anyone outside her home. Her mother told deputies that it not appear that she had packed or prepared to leave home.
