Saint John’s Bible exhibited

The intricately illustrated Saint John’s Bible Heritage Edition, right, will be exhibited in Sacramento for the first time today. The Bible is one of 299 fine art editions created from the original handwritten and illustrated Bible, which resides at Saint John’s University in Collegeville, Minn. Jim Triggs, above, is executive director of the Saint John’s Bible Heritage Program. The bible’s seven volumes include all 73 books from the Old and New Testaments. Measuring 2 feet tall and 3 feet wide, the Bible has about 1,150 pages. All seven Heritage Edition volumes will be exhibited at a service this evening at the Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament, 1017 11th St.
