The sexual attack in some ways resembles a similar report that happened Sept. 19 at Watt Avenue and I-80. In that incident, a woman was walking to work about 5 a.m. when she was forced down a small embankment to a point where she was out of view of passing motorists and pedestrians.
In that incident, the attacker was described as a black man, 20 to 30 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 to 200 pounds and wearing a black leather jacket, black or dark colored jeans and black or dark boots.
Detectives say it is too early to say if the two assaults were committed by the same man. More investigation is needed before it can be determined if a link can be made between the two crimes.
