Christmas week weather in Sacramento looks mild and dry

Christmas Eve and Christmas day are expected to be warm and rain-free as Northern California remains under the influence of a strong high pressure system centered just off the west coast.

High temperatures in Northern California on Christmas day are forecast to run a good 10 degrees above normal for late December. The normal high for Dec. 25 in Sacramento is 51 degrees.

The National Weather Service is forecasting a maximum of 63 degrees on Christmas in Sacramento. Other Christmas day afternoon maximum temperatures predicted for the region:
