Lane closures on Highway 50 through El Dorado Hills will resume Monday as work continues on the Silva Valley Parkway interchange.
The El Dorado County Transportation Division announced that it will implement full one-directional closures of the highway to allow needed falsework operations for the Silva Valley overcrossing.
Starting Monday night, all eastbound lanes will close at 11 p.m. from Latrobe Road to Bass Lake Road. The eastbound on-ramp at Latrobe Road will close at 10:30 p.m., and both Highway 50 and the on-ramp will reopen at 5 a.m. Partial lane closures on westbound Highway 50 will occur from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., but westbound Highway 50 will remain open to traffic during the closure periods.
While one-directional closures are in place, traffic will be detoured via El Dorado Hills Boulevard, Serrano Parkway and Bass Lake Road. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes around the area that also bypass the closures. Portable changeable message signs will be placed around the work zone to update motorists about any changes to timing of the closures.
