Elk Grove teens will be able to voice their opinions about issues in the community at a special town hall at 6 p.m. Oct. 28.

The forum, hosted annually by the Elk Grove Youth Commission, is meant to get teens more involved in local government while earning community service credits.

Youth commission members will use information gleaned from the forum to plan programs and projects for the current school year.

In the last seven years the commission has addressed a variety of issues impacting teens, including cybersafety, bullying, health and substance abuse.
