Possible delays for roadwork at Sacramento International

Construction road work may cause some delay for motorists arriving Wednesday and Thursday to Sacramento International Airport.

The paving of Airport Boulevard, the main road into Sacramento International, will begin at 7 a.m. Wednesday and continue until late Thursday evening.

The project will periodically close a lane of Airport Boulevard. Motorists are advised to leave for the airport an extra 10 or 15 minutes early if arriving during peak travel times.

Peak travel times are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Wednesday and 5 a.m. to 7 a.m., 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. or 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Thursday.
