An assistant fire chief from Phoenix has been named the new fire chief in Roseville.
Rick Bartee, a 34-year veteran of the Phoenix Fire Department, was selected following a national search and interviews with three local panels. The panels were composed of fire professionals, community members and city staffers.
At the Phoenix Fire Department, Bartee had a number of responsibilities, including homeland defense, search and rescue, and hazardous incidents.
“I’m looking forward to this opportunity to lead a vibrant fire department at the City of Roseville,” Bartee, 54, said in a prepared statement.
