A march and rally for justice is planned for Saturday in Sacramento by the NAACP.

“The Sacramento National Association for the Advancement of Colored People Branch is joining the nationwide rally and call for equal protection under the law, constitutional rights, and economic justice,” said the local organization’s President Stephen T. Webb.

Webb said that citizens, community organizations, religious groups, law enforcement and political leaders are invited to the “Just Justice” rally.

Marchers will gather at 10 a.m. Saturday at Southside Park, 8th and T streets. They will march to the Capitol where they plan to rally.

“We march because black lives matter,” said Webb in a press release.
